Copper Roof Portico + Brick Facade Repointing
This project involved restoring a bracketed portico that had suffered significant termite damage and a complete failure of its roofing system. After removing the compromised components, we identified step‑cracking along several bed joints along the brick facade, indicating structural movement and moisture intrusion. To ensure long‑term stability, we brought in our trusted brick mason, who repointed the entire wall as well as applied waterproofing, restoring both strength, durability and appearance.
Once the masonry work was complete, we rebuilt the portico structure with new, properly reinforced framing. We then installed a new copper roof and flashing system to provide superior durability and weather protection. The existing gutters were rehung, and we upgraded the system with new leaf‑guard protection to improve drainage and reduce future maintenance.
To finish the restoration, we installed a tongue‑and‑groove soffit and completed the project with a high‑quality paint application, bringing the portico back to life with a clean, cohesive, and long‑lasting finish.
